Gross monthly base pay. Band = lowest market average or median among the band-setting sources, up to the highest top-of-typical-range figure among them, in gross monthly base pay. Indeed: average to top of advertised range. Payscale: median to 90th percentile. JobStreet/Jobsdb: median to top of typical range. Glassdoor: average base pay to 75th percentile. Government wage surveys: median. Recruiter salary guides: the relevant level's range. Cross-checks are listed but don't set the band: recruiter-guide tops more than 1.5× the other sources, figures below the legal minimum wage, wide 10th–90th percentile spreads (Paylab), figures on a different pay basis (UAE guides quote total packages including allowances), and sources whose central figure mainly reflects entry-level or junior hiring rather than the role as defined here (fresh-graduate-weighted job-ad medians, virtual-assistant titles for the executive-assistant role, Indian IT-services "senior software engineer" designations, retail/hospitality team-leader ads), national guides applied to a higher-paying city, and regional fallback values. This approximates what a well-run foreign employer pays to attract good people; it is not the local market floor. City-level data is preferred; country-level figures are labelled. Cells with no reliable data show "Not enough data yet". Indicative tier: where no job board or salary survey has enough recent city salaries, we may show a range drawn from recruiter salary guides and employer-cost guides (each cited with its access date). These cells are labelled Indicative and are less reliable than job-board-backed bands; currently only Phnom Penh uses this tier. Minimum-wage floor: where market averages fall below the legal minimum wage, the band starts at the minimum wage and is labelled as such (currently Jakarta customer support and data entry).
